The inaugural Sabroso Craft Beer & Taco Festival presented by the Award Winning Brew Ha Ha Productions kicks off at the scenic Lake View Park near Irvine Lake on Saturday, May 3rd from 12 – 4 pm. The event invites Cinco de Mayo revelers from across the county to enjoy unlimited tastings of over 60 craft beers from more than 30 renowned breweries, all paired with the regions’ tastiest and unique tacos from local restaurants and culinary vendors.

Sabroso, by definition, means “tasty” and only begins to describe the vast array of culinary offerings at the new festival. Executive Chef, Cody Storts from the popular Hopscotch Tavern will be featuring classic Al Pastor tacos. Le Cordon Bleu graduate, Chef Greg Daniels will be on-site serving popular specialty tacos from Taco Asylum and Haven Gastropub. The wildly successful Iron Press brings their innovative version of tacos with their Waffle Chicken Taco created specifically for the festival. The Kroft will offer a rare taco interpretation with their Poutine Taco, made with meat and gravy. Traditionalists will be satiated with street tacos from The Slidebar Rock-N-Roll Kitchen and savory tacos from Dos Chinos. The Porko Rico Truck will bring layers of slow cooked flavor with their pulled pork and beef brisket tacos, tenderized to perfection by smoking their meat for 14 hours.

The Sabroso Cinco de Mayo pairing of tacos and the finest in craft beer will wow the most discerning palettes. The selections of various Pale Ales, IPA’s, Stouts, Heffe Wiezens, Saisons and more will be flowing from breweries Hangar 24, Ballast Point Brewing, Noble Ale Works, Stone Brewing, Ritual Brewing, Bootleggers, Valiant, Bottle Logic and more. Clown Shoes Brewery out of Ipswich Massachusetts will be sampling the last two existing barrels of the highly sought after Mexican chocolate stout known as Luchadore en Fuego.

Entertainment and fun are highlights of every Brew Ha Ha event. Sabroso will feature a special appearance by the famed WPW Lucha Libre wrestlers to rouse the crowd with two Masked Warrior matches followed by a rowdy finale match at the end of the event. Slidebar Rock-N-Roll Kitchen will present the best in Latin soul music courtesy of DJ Bobby Soul. In true Brew Ha Ha fashion, the shaded festival grounds will be filled with games galore including miniature golf, giant jenga and more. Guests who come dressed in their Cinco de Mayo best will have a chance to win great prizes for Best Costume. Tobacco aficionados can indulge in the El Smoko Loco Cigar lounge provided by Gray Cloud.

Passes for this high-flavor fest include four hours of unlimited beer tastings, commemorative festival glass, entertainment, and free parking and water and are currently available online for $55 each. (Brew Ho Ho Productions has sold out their last four events. However, if this inaugural event does not sell out, tickets will be sold the day of for $65.)
