We have not been shy about the fact that we love the Slice Truck. The challenge has been that they are very hard for us to get to. And the few times they’ve come to the O.C. it has been for festivals. We love this gourmet food truck! . (Check out our original article here.)

The Famous “Grandma”

Last week SliceTruck opened its brick and mortar pizzeria in Los Angeles, also named SliceTruck. They refer to the store front as “SliceTruck on Sawtelle”. We could not pass up the opportunity to be one of the first to check it out. On our way to LA, we called in advance to make sure they had a “Grandma” ready for us when we got there. This is their only “pan pizza”, and can take 20-30 minutes to make but it is one of our favorite pizzas ever. It was exactly as we remembered with thick, crunchy crust with garlic, whole San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and oregano.
